[designer’s comment] These logo design variations evolved out of explorations for a website design for Fabulous Yarn and then evolved into a complete branding system, used throughout all marketing materials and signage for the yarn retailer. Different versions are used depending on the application—the “knit” versions for closer viewing and print; the straight set version for roadside signage. The round ball version was an early version that is still in limited use for instance on the T-shirt. [typography] The primary font used is Bitstream’s Akzidenz Grotesk.
