client: Red Hook Dems/red hook united

[designer’s comment] This logo design for the Red Hook Democrats was used on t-shirts, banners and other marketing materials. Variations on this logo design were tried but not printed—for Red Hook United and on a Volunteers of America t-shirt design. The wheat logo is a hand-drawn symbol based on an old woodcut design—it was separated and colored in different versions for one-, two- or full-color printing. The original vector art for the logo design is drawn in Illustrator and then exported into different formats as needed. [typography] The font used is Rockwell, but is redrawn and shaped to fit the classic sports shirt design style.
